About

Elouise is an artist as well as a skilled carpenter and metalworker. This means she is able both to originate imaginative concepts and realise them practically. She’s also interested in disrupting the perceived binary between the theoretical and the practical - between an idea and the realisation of it, between art and craft.

She makes work then, that aims to be experiential, transportive and interactive - work that’s being made, unmade and remade at all times. Her practice is diverse, creating furniture pieces, installations, sculpture, automaton and puppetry.

Elouise studied at Chelsea School of Art and Design focusing primarily on Performance Art. The idea of ‘performance’ is one that she’s gone on to interrogate professionally and in her personal practice. Specialising in set building, Elouise has worked at a diverse range of theatres and venues, from tiny tents at Latitude Festival to The Royal Opera House, from beaches in Barcelona to the Natural History Museum, and from under kitchen sinks in Margate to the Young Vic.

If you’re interested in hiring Elouise or working with her then please get in touch. She’s open to projects both big and small, and loves to collaborate.
